The GOP is so determined to wreck the country and is so sadistic. The only thing that might stop them is a Clint Eastwood type of brawl in one of his movies. Maybe a John L Sullivan type boxing match until the bitter end. You just get tired of the GOP and its leaders giddily proclaim how they are going to fuck everyone and kill thousands. There has to be a line when the country goes ballistic on these people.
Every day they spew more hate, more divisions, more distortion, more racism, more dog whistles, more sadistic absurdity and more bravado of how hysgterically happy they will be to push grandma off the cliff.
Too bad we don't live in the early 20th century where your mouth got you put on the ground. Bad manners and outlandish remarks got you shunned. Today racism, hatred, misogyny, sexual assault, et al is rewarded and applauded. What the hell has happened to us.
I know I sound really extreme but when do your get tired of being assaulted and haunted endlessly by the GOP thugs who call really decent people the thugs.
We are facing an honest to God destruction and dismantling of all the progress made since 1900. And we are being told we will be forced to STFU. Or we are told to "get over it" and "take our medicine" the GOP won.
Trump's push to destroy our intelligence community and the GOP's action to allow them to target individual federal workers should tell the rest of us that we are facing a crisis beyond imagining from the likes of Ryan, McConnell, Trump and the rest of the cronies. They plan to blow up the country enthusiastically because they can.
Look at how much the GOP has destroyed since Reagan. We have been going down hill ever since 1981. We will no longer be a super power nor respected after this goon.

(37,160 posts)Don't you just love the "get over it" talk? When's the last time Republicans in general and conservatives in particular did that?
Not in 2008, when they made it their highest priority "making Obama a one-term president".
Not in 1992, when they railed that Bill Clinton "wasn't really president" for having won the election with merely a plurality, not a majority.
Hell, not 1960, when they built a mythos around "Faley stole the election for Kennedy". No matter what happened in Chicago that year, there may be a bunch of city, county, and state pols that could claim "theft", but not Richard Nixon. Even if he'd won Illinois, he still would have lost the election. But they've ground an axe over it for 50+ years.
