There are many reasons why we should now engage with Trump voters now. If one believes we must move forward, we cannot expect to remain isolated in our pain or simply attack Trump supporters for what we know was a bad choice.
Many of us will never be over this election but we must if we are to move forward. And that begins with making friends with Trump voters. While this may be anathema to one's thinking or desires, it is a must.
The dynamics that put the Blue Wall into play are likely to get worse. After all, people are not moving to Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin, as they are in other solidly blue states. What this means is that Progressives can win a few other states by vast numbers and still lose the election in the electoral college. It is not unforeseen that a Democrat could win by over 10 million votes and still lose the election in the electoral college.

(58,785 posts)what is going to happen after the VA is dismantled? And have some gentle names and gentle facts to gently respond with when startled conservatives say that could never happen?
Maybe confess how sick you feel when you realize that your X's medical record now has a diagnosis of "prediabetes" and what that will mean when the ACA is repealed and we return to underwriting? Moan about what's the good of the "universal acceptance" of applicants Trump speaks of if the rates quoted are astronomical for severely limited coverage?
Most have no idea of the real agendas behind the propaganda being pushed at them on Breitbart, Infowars, etc.

(6,008 posts)... people who think the two parties are "the same" or were too lazy or uninterested, or through no fault of their own had difficulty voting, and makes sure they get out to the polls each and every time from here on out.
Remember, for all the talk of making nice with trump voters, the largest bloc in the electorate is non-voters.

(10,497 posts)I point out how he has gone back on the "Hokey" Drain the Swamp comment and said "We don't need it anymore." How he has proven that by putting three Goldman Saks guys in his administration after giving Hillary grief for her Goldman connections.
They get pissed off because they are easily manipulated. All i do is manipulate them with the truth and one little white lie, I would die before becoming a Trumpster!
