Donna Brazile: Trump "Has An Enormous Opportunity" To Find Common Ground With DemocratsTim Hains

BRAZILE: Well, if it's my way or the highway, then what youre going to see again is another round of gridlock in Washington, D.C. Youre going to see retribution and retaliation.
He has an enormous opportunity, as every president in the first 100 days, to show that he is eager to find common ground, to meet with Democrats.
Chuck Schumer, I mean, Chuck Schumer knows Donald Trump, both New Yorkers. Have him over for breakfast, have him over for afternoon tea and see if you can find common ground...
I mean, look, Ive heard from Elizabeth Warren, Ive heard from Bernie Sanders. Ive heard from a number of Democrats that will fight.
But there are also other Democrats who are saying, look, put something on the table. Let us work together. We have a lot at stake in terms of the economy. President Obama is leaving the White House and leaving the economy in much better shape than what he found it back in 2009.
"Ive heard from a number of Democrats that will fight"
Some of em, at least.

(39,343 posts)They're going to change the rules so that the Dems cannot slow them down.
They're going to play cut throat while the Dems play patty cake. That said, the Dems better fucking fight or they can expect a populist candidate from the Left who subverts the Party just as trump subverted the repukes. A populist does not need the Party to get elected. Things will be bad nad a hero is needed.
I almost expect a Bull Moose candidate to rise from the non-Democratic "Left".

(54,770 posts)by saying "Trump is a POS." What the heck would that accomplish but get her booted from TV. She is correct, if Trump plays "my way or highway," there will be gridlock, and Trump does have an opportunity. He probably won't take advantage of it, but she's right.
But, let's bash her anyway.
