I knew it would not be long before the derelict media started assigning blame to President Obama for the decimation of the Democratic Party throughout the country. There are various reasons why assigning blame to Obama is more than shortsighted. HuffPost Journalist Sam Stein made a rather foolish statement on Morning Joe as he implied that Obama is responsible for the decimation of the Democratic Party.

(24,414 posts)but it aggravates me whenever I hear it. I mean, what did HE do to singlehandedly cause an electoral disaster for the Democratic Party in the entire country? Did he refuse to pay attention to his PDBs and enable 3000 people to be killed by terrorists? Did he torture anybody? Did he start a war of choice in a foreign country that killed or maimed thousands of American soldiers? Did he mismanage a natural disaster leading to mass loss of life in a major city?

(4,610 posts)1) Obama did lead the party, and that meant he was responsible for keeping DWS and her regime in power at the DNC. And that meant all kinds of suffering for state parties as well as Democratic losses in state and congressional races.
2) This is also an underhanded euphemism for the "whitelash." Rage at Obama from the white identity politics right clearly mobilized opposition to Democrats across the country. Enraged white voters have one peculiar tendency: they vote, reliably, in everything from midterms to school board elections. Democratic voters (especially the young) tend not to.

President Obama has done so much for our Country and the Planet as reflected by his poll numbers and the FACTS. And, just because he's leaving Office doesn't mean he's going to stop for working for our Democracy.

It's hard to have respect for any American "journalist" that knowingly participated in Putin's information warfare against our country.
If President Obama wasn't out there pointing out the media's role in this, I'd lose my mind.
"And the truth is, is that there was nobody here who did not have some sense of what kind of effect it might have. I am finding it a little curious that everybody is suddenly acting surprised that this looked like it was disadvantaging Hillary Clinton, because you guys wrote about it every day, every single leak about every little juicy tidbit of political gossip, including John Podesta's risotto recipe."
