Every day was another story that should have ended his campaign, but it didn't.
He should have received much more negative coverage than Hillary Clinton but he didn't.
He earned all the negative press he received and much more.

(52,253 posts)they covered rotten things he said, and said there was much outrage about it, but always in a way that kept him in the running.
it reminded me of when howard stern was first getting big, people were shocked by what he said, but they were all dying to hear what outrageous thing he'd say next.
the media gave exactly that *favorable* treatment of toxic trump's rotten dumps, and rarely gave him the treatment they give "disqualified" candidates, such as third party candidates other than perhaps ross perot.
they portrayed him as entertaining, rather than as a very serious threat to our country.
