Why did Donald close his Trump Foundation?

Because he knew it could not stand up to the scrutiny of any investigation.

He gives up nothing, if money is involved, unless he is forced to.

The Trump Foundation, from what we have already learned, was nothing but a slush fund for Donald Trump. Reportedly, he paid off Pam Bondi, the AG of Florida, with $25,000 from the Trump Foundation.

No doubt, there were many others.

It's pretty obvious that he wants to put the Trump Foundation on the backburner and out of sight.

By closing down the fake foundation (which he probably doesn't care about) he makes it look like he's doing something to address conflicts. But the real conflict is his and his kids' involvement in Trump Org. Don't be distracted!
