Angie's List Advertises on Rush Limbaugh

Seriously I heard it today.

As a member I am appalled they would advertise and have Rush himself speak for them.

I am going to e-mail them and tell them I am not going to renew because of it.

Angie's list makes me sick!

I hope Limbaugh becomes so toxic the only ones who will advertise with him is the Koch brother and the like.

6. I am also guessing that Angie's List is biased toward reThug businesses

ReTHUGS promote each other, to the exclusion of more capable people. Which would explain why even their so-called professionals can be such idiots.

Could Angies list now be code for, "Recommend people who aren't black so that only 'good white folk' will get work.

I've thought about using it a few times, but it just seems kind of wrong to charge people for "word of mouth" advertising.

It looked like a small subset of contractors, showing just their positive feedback.

Complete with business buzzwords and Wall Street analysts.

...and all were excellent. That is why I subscribed. I don't care where they advertise.

18. You do know that contractors listed on Angie's List are ALSO subscribers, don't you?

Big surprise that they're highly rated ...

It's "Angie's" "business model." Angie, by the way, is the CFO of the corporation.

19. I just had tree work done around the house.

I got three quotes and two were over $3,000. The Angie's List guy came in at $1,700 and he did a great job - my wife and I were delighted with how the trees looked when he was done.

We're having some remodeling work done and we're using a local contractor we found on Angie's List. So far we are very happy with the way the is going. I've managed projects and I know how it should be done - this guy is good.

Bottom line is that they have provided me with a valuable service. I can't see giving that up to make a political statement. There are other ways to do that.

unless the host him/herself does the ad ..
(I know .. I read the part about Rush doing the ad)
but unless that happens ... they are just buying advertising
on the radio ...
so if they are advertising on Levin and other shows...
and if the host isn't reading the ad ... they are just
buying air time ....
and drive time is when the most ears are listening ...

17. true, but JUST buying airtime still puts money into the hosts' pockets. no ad $s = no program
