Latest Republican poll shows a refusal to acknowledge facts...

POLL: MOST REPUBLICANS STILL BELIEVE THAT IRAQ HAD WMD | A new poll conducted by Dartmouth government professor Benjamin Valentino found that 63 percent of Republican respondents still believe that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction when the United States invaded in 2003, even though this assertion has been thoroughly debunked. In comparison, only 27 percent of independents and less than 15 percent of Democrats believed in the misinformation. Additionally, 64 percent of Republican respondents believe that President Obama was born in another country. As the Huffington Post’s Dan Froomkin notes, “this latest poll result seems to indicate a refusal — unique to the modern Republican Party — to acknowledge facts.”

just the issues have been changed to indict the guilty

this has been the case for decades, at least since the Raygun days and the rise of rightwingnut radio, when and where they worked in concert and tirelessly to destroy the concept of "agreed upon facts" that had prevailed until that point.

Imagine how the modern repub would be seen with only the "big three" holding sway, as opposed to the modern "liberal" media

they no longer have any or can experience shame, and indeed, are quite proud of their abandonment of the 9th Commandment the license to lie behind all that indicates.

They often quote Democrats from the 90's claiming Saddam was a danger.

Democrats were trying to keep the sanctions in place at the UN because Saddam had petitioned to have them lifted so he could rebuild his country. He was fully cooperating with the inspectors. Iraq had lost a lot of their youth in the Iran/Iraq war and Saddam found himself the president of a country full of old people, women and children when we invaded.

If you tell a Right Winger America made a mistake they get pissed because they consider this to be God's country so by telling them we invaded a country for no good reason they feel you are claiming God made a mistake.

Funny how these same people think all we do is God's Will but Washington DC and the Federal Government is right out of Satan's ass.

Like I said before: Isn't it funny that they deny having mental problems?

These are people who are trained to think that belief in the face of contradictory evidence is a *virtue*. Once an authority figure says a thing, it is so, forever.

None of this was possible without the corrupt corporate media using our public airwaves to lie to us.

The same people that think the media is liberal, believe all the bullshit that the media was spewing...

Why would the liberal media cover up that the Niger uranium story was based on a forgery, not just any forgery but it seemed like it was done by a 5th grader. The UN laughed when they saw it and discredited it with a 5 minute google search. They hadn't even used the right letterhead. No, the media just kept repeating it like it was fact. Why hadn't the media done any research? Because they are being paid by the government and corporations to manufacture consent.

And the other BS, UAV's that were gonna get us, Saddam was bringing a suitcase nuke to a backyard near you...all propaganda perpetuated by the media.

The media is taking in quite a bit of money to lie to us, when will people take back our public airwaves? They are directly responsible for all that is bad in this country right now. A Democracy cannot exist without a free press.
