Good. Your 15 minutes are over, grifters.
________________
About one million people changed the channel when "Bristol Palin: Life's A Tripp" premiered on Lifetime on Tues., June 19. According to EW, Palin's reality series had an audience of 726,000 total viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Its lead-in, "Dance Moms," had a viewership of 1.8 million viewers, according to TVByTheNumbers.
"Life's A Trip" follows Palin as she moves from Los Angeles back to Alaska and readjusts to life as a single mom with the support of her family, including parents Sarah and Todd.
It seems not even legal drama could help attract viewers to "Life's A Tripp." Lifetime and Palin were slapped with a lawsuit by a heckler with whom Palin confronted on camera in the premiere episode. Stephen Banks accused Palin of defamation and that he didn't allow Lifetime to film him.
Kyle Massey, Palin's fellow "Dancing With the Stars" contestant, also filed a lawsuit over the new reality show. Massey and his brother, Christopher, were to appear in a Bio reality series about Palin's life in Los Angeles. The show was scrapped and "Life's A Tripp" was developed. In the suit, the Massey brothers and mom Angel allege they developed the show and helped the production company Associated Television International and its head David McKenzie produce the originally planned series. The Massey lawsuit claims copyright infringement, breach of contract and unfair competition.

(12,618 posts)You know those roast-a-thons that celebrities do sometimes in which one person sits there and lets other celebrities make fun of them? Do that with the Palins. I'd pay pay-per-view prices to see that!

(42,572 posts)Oh, "developed". Is that what you call it when you film a bunch of footage for a reality show with two of your friends and when nobody is interested in the show you cut out their footage, even though it was their idea, and use all the remaining footage for your own show?
Those Palins sure are good at "developing" things.

(21,925 posts)We need to see Sarah and her Witch Doctor really get into some serious fire and brimstone spell casting and victim sacrificing. Then we need to see Todd Palin actually organize a revolution with his secessionist friends and try a coup d'etat in Alaska. You know, show the Palins doing what they dream of doing.
