Hold a charity fundraiser at the White House or your terrible restaurant in NY. You charge people $1000/plate, let them donate more if they want, then you mingle and let them schmooze with you for an hour or so. Then you donate the money raised transparently to your charity WITHOUT taking out a percentage for the dinner setup. Your time and donation of a fancy dinner is PART OF the charity.

You do not sell 15 random minutes of your time to the highest bidder like a saloon trollop. That gives exclusive special access to people with money. The dinner has a much more visibly respectable appeal and doesn't have the air of retiring to your bedchamber with a lucky winner.

Trump probably doesn't want to waste an entire evening on something that doesn't make money for him.

Which fake charity of Eric's is Don talking about?

http://www.truth-out.org/buzzflash/commentary/trump-sons-auctioning-off-1-million-hunting-trip-to-celebrate-inauguration

http://money.cnn.com/2016/12/21/news/trump-sons-foundation/index.html

The pamphlet advertised a "private reception" with Trump, as well as a hunting trip with Donald Jr. and Eric Trump, for sponsors who gave $500,000 under the Grizzly Bear package or $1 million under the Bald Eagle package. The pamphlet said the money would go to conservation causes.

After the TMZ report, the Trump family began distancing itself. The Trump transition team released a statement Tuesday saying the reported details were "merely initial concepts that have not been approved or pursued by the Trump family."

"Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump are avid outdoorsmen and supporters of conservation efforts, which align with the goals of this event, however they are not involved in any capacity," the statement said.

A new version of the pamphlet given to CNNMoney on Tuesday by the event's organizers did not include references to any meetings or photo opportunities with the president, nor the hunting trip with the Trump sons.

Give me a fucking break. This isn't about helping kids with cancer. There are multiple ways to do that. And no one is stopping legitimate charity. This is about Donald's pouting because he isn't getting his own way. Grow the hell up and get over it.

Eric Trump ‘Charity’ Spent $880K at Family-Owned Golf Resorts-
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/09/30/eric-trump-charity-spent-880k-at-family-owned-golf-resorts.html

A wine industry association. A plastic surgeon gifting nose jobs to kids. An artist who painted a portrait of Donald Trump and a blue dog. Trump-owned golf resorts.

Those are some of the beneficiaries of the Eric Trump Foundation, an eponymous public charity headed by the Republican presidential nominee’s third-born. Though Eric Trump—the executive vice president of development and acquisitions for the Trump Organization, and one of his father’s top surrogates and closest political advisers—recently claimed his father had donated “hundreds of thousands” to his charity, the only available evidence seems to suggest payments, in fact, went the other way: the Eric Trump Foundation (ETF) paying hundreds of thousands over the last 10 years to host lavish fundraising events at Donald Trump’s golf courses.

In promotional videos and press releases, ETF touts a 95 to 100 percent donation ratio and implies that by benefit of being a Trump, namesake properties are handed over for charity events at little or no cost. But according to a Daily Beast analysis of annual IRS reports and New York state financial disclosures from the charity’s inception in 2007 to 2014, the most recent year for which data is available, ETF spent $881,779 on its annual Golf Invitational at Trump-owned clubs, a portion of which—$100,000 in 2013 and $88,000 in 2014—was reported as paid directly “to a company of a family member of the Board of Directors.” In other words, Donald Trump himself.

this is the thing with grifters, once you shine a big light on them, their grifts fall apart.

he could publicly oppose his father's nominees for Sec. of Education, Health and Human Services, and just about every appointment to date. And he could educate Congress about what gutting Social Security and the ACA would do to children, especially ones in poor families.

But that wouldn't put $$$ in Trump family pockets.
