....pisses me off about the Obama adm.-
Early on they came out and said they were not going to recognize Fox News and said they were an arm of the Republican Party and as soon as they got some push-back for their true statement they walked it back...........God damn it, stick to your guns you friggin cowards.
Next, this past week Thom Hartmann had on his radio program a spokesperson for the Obama campaign. He asked the spokesperson if Obama is gonna start echoing FDR with speeches in which FDR used to say "they are unanimous in their hate for me and I WELCOME their hatred"...and the spokesguy said -"no we're not going to go down that road. We're looking to be bipartisan"....
Are you f**king kidding me!!!

(25,699 posts)An inordinate number of democrats are still living in the two midcentury decades of bipartisanship, and are failing to recognize that for the other 217 years of our nation's existence, hyper-partisanship has been the order of the day.
These are the people who dominate the Democratic party - and that extends to the voting base as well, where so many people are still living in 19-fucking-69. Bipartisanship is regarded as "normal" rather than "exceptional," and so they're constantly trying to find the new common ground... with another political party that realizes bipartisanship ended with Nixon.
I can't point the finger solely at Obama or his administration. it's a party-wide problem, and it has been a party-wide problem for over thirty goddamned years. it's why we've been losing so much ground that whole time- the Republicans are standing up and saying "Fuck you, we're Republicans!" while the democrats have been standing up and saying "And we respect that!"
There is no middle anymore. Today's Republicans are the most hateful I have seen in my life time (69) You are so correct about the Democrats saying, now let's be nice and find compromise, and my Republican friends across the hall. and other weak mannered comments. You are either on the right or left, this bipartisanship is complete BS, dead and gone. Not with today's Republicans anyway. How do we fix it? Vote straight Democratic ticket.

(61 posts)I don't hate them but those who support them are a mixed up group. I am not a religious man but each time I see or hear a Republican BS phrase or catch word I just think to myself "God, forgive them for they know not what they do".

Do you have a source handy?
