I will not be voting for Obama in November. There I said it.

I will be early voting in October. Early voting starts here on the 15th.

Remember to vote early. In the event something comes up on election day you won't have to worry. I missed the 2000 general election because I got stuck in the office till 10 pm. Never again (not that it would have mattered for Gore - I'm in Illinois).

I want to be part of the landslide.

And our county Dems will have poll watchers at every site. We are often able to recruit some of lawyers who are members to keep an eye on things during election day.

I hope lots of county parties do this. I will be helping with giving folks rides to polls and whatever else is needed. Besides, you don't get the little "I Voted" sticker when you vote absentee.

Of course I realize it is the best option for many and for that reason I am grateful we have absentee voting.

I'll be on the other side of the country visiting my mom on election day, and my ballot will be in the mail before I leave - since the mail-in ballots are sent out a month ahead, I'll have plenty of time to fill it in, send it, and check to see that it's been received before I leave.

them in. If you vote early & turn it in, they cross you off their list and focus on the other voters they need to turn out. One reason to vote early is so you don't keep getting phone calls & mailings, along with letting the campaign focus their limited resources on people who may need more encouragement.

Just an FYI

something i expected to happen, but thought would take longer to occur

their tactics and double speak are terribly annoying and frustrating.

i just hope the rest of democrats feel the same way. we cant afford low turnouts.
theyll definitely steal it again.

Or maybe October. I live in FL and they cut early voting here. Just hope the vote here doesn't get stolen. Oh by the way, you need a Gov. ID to vote here. I was planning to use my Drivers License, up for renewal in Sept. I just happen to be a registered Dem. and just got a letter outlining all the paperwork I will need to bring to renew my license. It includes an acceptable copy of my birth certificate, my social security card, and proof of my address. Although, I think there is a way to renew online and avoid all that.

Thanks for the reminder about early voting. I live in the lovely Red State of Georgia. Although my vote will be canceled out by the Republican majority, in terms of the electoral system, I still vote. Sitting out doesn't solve anything. But I would love to see the the electoral system changed, allowing my vote to count. It won't.
