GOP Rep. Confirms It: Die And Die Quickly
By Karoli Kuns

Here is a picture of what we will face next year when our Republican overlords convene to tell us why it's imperative that we just die as soon as possible.

Michigan Representative Bill Huizenga did an interview with MLive.com where he explained that we're simply too reliant upon doctors. He cited as an example his son's broken arm.

The father of five offered a personal example of how this shift might play out. He says his youngest son fell and injured his arm. Not sure if it was sprained or broken, he and his wife decided to wait until the next morning to take the 10-year-old to the doctor's office, instead of going to the emergency room that night. The arm was broken.

"We took every precaution but decided to go in the next morning (because of) the cost difference," Huizenga said. "If he had been more seriously injured, we would have taken him in. ... When it (comes to) those type of things, do you keep your child home from school and take him the next morning to the doctor because of a cold or a flu, versus take him into the emergency room? If you don't have a cost difference, you'll make different decisions."

Having chest pains? Wait a day, then go to the hospital. If you're still breathing. If not, then look how much money you saved by dying instead of getting to the hospital in time for a stent or a bypass!

Coughing up a lung? No worries, and if it's lung cancer, you can save even more money by just going home to die anyway. No need for chemotherapy and other expensive treatment.

Breast cancer screenings? Forget those, just give in and let the cancer kill you. It's simply ridiculous to expect to prevent it, just go with the flow.

Here's the scary part: Huizenga isn't alone, and these representatives have the best health care money can buy. He really believes what he's saying here, to the point where he'd let his 10-year old son be in pain until the next day instead of going to an Urgent Care facility to have it checked.

These people are sadistic, murdering fools. And they're about to unleash their sadism on the rest of us.

the well-insured and wealthy will get the big benefits of modern medicine. And then they'll blame it all on Democrats. Ryan is saying the ACA is already collapsing.

What Ryan isn't saying is that he and the Kochs and their ilk do intend to engineer an America where the strong survive and the weak do not. The strong will be those who can afford good healthcare. The weak will be, for instance, everyone who cannot get insurance because of incipient kidney disease and who afford to pay for their own dialysis instead.

In a nation in the middle of a kidney disease epidemic, that alone would means the culling of millions of unworthy people from the herd.

Trump promises "universal access." Underwriters quoting prices most won't be able to afford. What happens with a child diagnosed as "prediabetic"? How will parents react if they believe the ACA was destined to fail? If they realize it would still be there for them if not for right-wing extremists?

only that people should be free, not shackled with regulations and forced to pay for giant government programs they don't want.

A peculiar type of "freedom" is a real big thing on the right, economic freedom to spend their money as they wish. Somehow deploring many other freedoms to the point of making them illegal for everyone (not just LGBTQIAPK or XYZ issues by any means) does not bother these people who imagine themselves freedom fighters.

Rural clinics and hospitals run mostly on Medicaid and Medicare money. So when they close due to lack of revenue, the rural Dumpsters are going to see it first. Nothing changes your mind faster than when a loved one dies needlessly. Sadly, it will be an epiphany for many...much too late.

I hope they do the decent thing and make cyanide pills more available.

But when have they ever done the decent thing?
