5. Darrell Issa is contemptible!

'He (Issa) was an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician. He claimed his unit provided security for President Richard Nixon, sweeping stadiums for bombs prior to games in the 1971 World Series, and that he received the highest approval ratings during his service. However, a 1998 investigation by the San Francisco Examiner found these claims were not true, since Nixon had not attended any of that year's World Series games. The investigation also discovered that Issa was actually transferred to a supply depot after he received an unsatisfactory evaluation.

A fellow soldier, Jay Bergey, claimed that Issa stole his Dodge Charger in 1971, when they were serving together. The day after he confronted Issa, the car was found abandoned on a nearby expressway. Asked about this in 2011, Issa denied it and suggested it was possible that other soldiers stole the car or that Bergey, who he claims had a drinking problem, had abandoned it himself while intoxicated."

After becoming Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Issa has become a vocal advocate for investigations into the Obama administration. In 2010 he told the press that he wanted the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to hold investigative hearings "seven hearings a week, times 40 weeks."

Sandra Fluke, then a 30-year-old law student at Georgetown, was invited by Democrats to speak at a hearing by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on the new Administration rules on Conscience Clause exceptions in health care. Democrats requested the committee add Sandra Fluke to the first panel, which was composed of (male) clergy and theologians. 'Committee chairman Darrell Issa (R-California) refused, stating that Fluke lacked expertise and was not member of the clergy, and that her name was not submitted in time. Democratic members criticized the decision not to include Fluke since it left that panel with only male members. (paraphrased from Wikipedia)

And now this. This guy is a major-league a**hole (ie ... your typical Republican)

As I see it, this present state we find ourselves in all goes back to Karl Rove and Grover Norquist. In my mind both should be charged with treason

Begging the question is the argumentative fallacy of treating as granted the very thing being argued.
