"It is even worse than that. The level of expertise has dropped off even more markedly, and having done some research on these guys, what is remarkable is that there are very few distinctions, honors, stellar achievements between them. Pence has a law degree, but no mention of law review, moot court, honors, etc. The biggest thing in his bio is being a frat president! Tillerson has a bachelor's in civil engineering. Mnuchin, a BA from Yale but his bio doesn't even indicate what it is in. Mattis a BA from Central Washington University. Sessions has a JD from Alabama but again no law review, no moot court, etc. Wilbur Ross has a BA from Yale, but was admitted as a legacy! Puzder has a JD degree and was senior editor of the law review at Washington Univ. (but then he went to making hamburgers?????). Tom Price has an MD from Michigan, but has some decidedly unscientific views! Rick Perry has was pointed out in the article has a Bachelors degree in Animal Science but barely got through. Kelly started out as an enlisted man in the Marine Corps, did eventually earn a degree from U Mass Boston, but no real distinctive achievements. Chao has a Harvard MBA. She has also received several honorary degrees, and is probably the most accomplished (but, of course, she is Mitch McConnell's wife ....). Ben Carson has an MD from Michigan, but like Tom Price has some decidedly unscientific ideas (what is it with Michigan Med School grads) and his famous separation of the craniopagus conjoined twins was not exactly a success, despite all of the hype (one died immediately postop, the other ended up in a persistent vegetative state and institutionalized. It also resulted in a divorce of the parents. He was told not to do the operation as well .....). Betsy DeVos has a BA in Business Administration and Political Science (nothing to do with education).
