None of the 'adults' in this sordid tale have any clue, or if they do, any care about what they are doing to the kids. They have been dragged along through the muck with this cast of clowns. None of them will ever dodge the spotlight or the questions unless they escape to cloisters.

As for what she has to say about Elizabeth Edwards she can, how do I put this nicely, go to hell. Elizabeth was no saint. Compared to Hunter, she is miles ahead.

I'm glad Edwards won't be retried. There just wasn't enough evidence to hang him.

I hope he goes back to suing megacorporations that hurt people, he's good at it and it's necessary work.

I hope Hunter realizes her looks are gone and a lot of people hate her like poison for being a homewrecker and her 15 minutes are up and she needs to raise her child the best she can.

I hope Edwards has learned the wisdom of wearing condoms no matter what a hookup tells him about her birth control status.

Most of all, I hope they become private citizens, trying to live reasonable lives away from cameras and microphones.

I'm just not optimistic about any of it.
