state to request that he DO SOMETHING, and it seems my zip code
"indicates that you reside outside the 6th Congressional District."
So they accept NO information from other citizens of their state who want to contact them? I have been known to write email with a manufactured address and a Kentucky zip code to rail at Mitch McConnell. Is this what we have to do?
They clearly do NOT want to hear from any US constituents who don't live (and vote) within their boundaries.

(146,336 posts)with anyone not in an area where you vote. You appear to live in Minnesota. Contact Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken for issues having to do with the Senate and your district's House member for stuff happening in the House.
Fake addresses and zip codes don't fool anyone. It's far more effective to contact legislators for whom you can vote. Is that fair? Probably not, but it's the reality. Spend your time and energy wisely by focusing on people who might listen to you.
That's my advice.

(713 posts)It's very common. Why waste time taking correspondence from someone you can't help when you could devote that time helping someone you can?

Maybe try to contact your actual representative?
This is not rocket science.
