(1,219 posts)They get their education from pharma reps now instead of ongoing ed or actually reading the "research" and seeing the false and manipulated results. There's no longer any pretense of curing anything. Just treating, endlessly, with more and more meds that have more and more side effects that require more meds.....
Following what the ADA, AMA AHA say will only make you sicker. Ignore what they say or do the opposite and you can cure yourself of many modern diseases. I cured my diabetes and high blood pressure by doing just that. They don't want to hear about it even when they can't deny the results.

(15 posts)Hers is an innovative practice called a "Patient-Centered Medical Home" (google it) and preventative care. She was one of 25 medical practitioners invited to the White House by Obama to discuss her innovative and cost-effective practice. My next appointment with her is Monday, June 25. (I have to travel 700 miles round trip to see her, but it's worth it). I can't wait to see what she has to say about her White House visit.
Unfortunately, her successful practice has made her very unpopular with the state medical establishment. She gets great results at low cost to the patient. The same ideas that got her an invitation to the White House have garnered complaints from other doctors who care more about making money than they do treating patients and she recently had to defend herself in front of the state medical board. It is these types of actions from the other doctors that make me believe that the vast majority of doctors care more about the money than they do the patient. I therefore accept the OP's comment about doctors.

(5,317 posts)He talked about how it had bad side effects and strongly suggested that I do my best to go cold turkey, which I did have have been a non-smoker for over a year now. Not all doctors are in the pockets of big Pharma.

(20,453 posts)...they're all institutionalized and run under their corporate banners...
Health care laws crafted by industry winners, let the patients become losers...
Student debt, it's own commodity and programs which are the engines of administrators at "the top" leading to few opportunities and continued debt for those caught up in "higher education...
Perpetual wars, side-stepping due process in branches of the government, regulations by the corporation for those wars which don't intend to draft more soldiers than they need, but crank out industry designed to keep arm both sides and deliver profit
Non-Profits and mega-dildo lovers like Pat Robertson, who invest in blood diamonds and collecting from "sinners" for their corporation of exclusion and hate...
Casino gulag of the biggest banks who have continued to create more debt made easy through the relaxation of regulations... Bailed out by the tax payers... no one changes the law of THAT corporation.
Chris is way too nice while being very concise... We're fascist run from top to bottom in the US, it would seem.

(25,406 posts)I have met plenty who are pissed off about the amount of time they have to spend on pointless insurance paperwork, as opposed to caring for the sick.
How many DUers see a doctor who "destroys health"?

(1,219 posts)very hard to destroy my health. She absolutely refused to read the research I brought her and gave me outdated, pharma produced studies to convince me to take meds that would only result in further damage to my health. She laughed at my efforts to cure myself and told me I was going to kill myself by not taking statins, diabetes meds and others. She was absolutely wrong and I had to fire her. I no longer take statins and can now think clearly and feel better than I've felt in more than twenty years, I've cured myself of diabetes and high blood pressure and have more energy than I've ever had. My labs and other cardiac tests show no evidence of the heart disease she told me I'd die of if I didn't do as I was told.
