1. My depressing revelation is that with GOP in total control of the government and the news,

I don't know if we have a chance. We may have skeleton staffs at about two newspapers in the entire country with any spine at all, and that is about it.
I just don't see any Davey Crocketts or George Washingtons or Thomas Paynes on the horizon and almost half of the country "wants" this shit.
