A nice short statement in front of the media talking about the time wasted on f&f while the jobs bill just sits there would go a long way

(135,425 posts)Let them make angry, disrespectful and intemperate comments that they would have never made to a John Ashcroft or Alberto Gonzales. Let them continue to berate the first black Attorney General of the United States like he's the janitor, even after he's bent over backwards to provide them with thousands of pages of documents and gone to speak with them nine times already.
Let their bigot flag fly!
It'll make them look like a buncha Princes if they keep this shit up.
The cameras are everywhere, and oh, how they do roll--it all makes for great ads.
This is just one stupid committee--and they're doing a great job of making the GOP House look like asses. That can only help us come November.

(13,360 posts)I know there are lots of reason he stays mellow...but I too, would like to see him really decide to get tough as nails and say what shit he really needs to say.
i do worry that if he doesn't speak up we will be in for some scary shit for the next 4 years

(53,410 posts)He isn't that kind of person. If he did that he would just add to the cacophony that's already assaulting reason.
And no matter who wins we're in for some scary shit for the next 4 years. If Romney does what the teabaggers want it will be bad. If he doesn't it will be worse.

Unfortunately President Obama just does not have it in him, he talks a good game though.
I now look at the last 3+ years as a waste, a wasted opportunity to fundamentally change America for the betterment of all.
I just hope he does not squander the next 4 years.

(53,410 posts)It's to use reason to do his job, which by the way he's actually doing if anyone bothers to pay attention. The only thing making it harder for him is the crazed opposition at any cost that has the power to stop him. Congress. And even they haven't been able to stop him entirely.
If you pay attention you'll see he's actually getting first steps done. He's moving us, the mountain, in the right direction.
