Volunteers lined up too, starting on the afternoon of December 7, 1941.

Also, our massive industrial base, which could crank out as many tanks and bombers as were needed, might have had owners who were not necessarily fans of Roosevelt. What most people recognized was that we faced a threat in common. Everyone came together.
