The coming brain drain.

This much is clear: Donald Trump is an ignorant man of limited intellect. This is why he hates science. He hates science because he does not understand science. He attacks science, and scientists, because he is a fragile narcissist unable to accept that anything is beyond his comprehension. Unable to acknowledge and accept his own limitations, he seeks to destroy that which reveals his failings.

What will be the result of Trump's war on science? The scientists will leave. They will pack up and move to countries that actually celebrate science and honor science and scientists.

We can hope that four years from now a new president will have the job of begging them to come back.

Even I wish my friends good will on holidays and birthdays. It's only human...

He clearly hates minorities and uses religion as a wedge, a tool of convenience to fan the flames of fear and hate . . .

But he doesn't "hate" Christians at all. He regards them as suckers. By and large the greater number of them proved him correct.

5. I expect the brain drain will be quite deep, involving more than those just at the top

but also "everyday scientists" such as doctors and nurses, chemists, engineers, etc. Many who have attractive skill sets and education will be looking ahead and weighing their options.
