Donald Trump will remain executive producer on 'Celebrity Apprentice'....what thee fuck?

Donald Trump will remain as an executive producer on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice," even while serving as president of the United States.

That agreement, first reported by Variety and confirmed by sources at NBC and the Trump campaign, means the president will have an interest in a show aired by a media company that also reports on his presidency -- a major conflict of interest for the network.

"The Apprentice," which Trump hosted for 14 seasons, was created by Mark Burnett and is owned and produced by MGM. The 15th season, hosted by former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, will air on NBC starting January 2.

NBC Entertainment, NBC News and MGM all did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the decision to keep Trump as an executive producer.

I'm sure no legal scholar, but I have to believe that's a nono.

because his privilege of being born into a very wealthy family has allowed him to get away with whatever he wants so far. He is the ultimate bully and spoiled brat. He does whatever he wants without regard to what anyone else thinks. I'm sure there are lots of enablers in his life that made him into the monster that he is today. He has probably been surrounded by a bunch of yes men that tell him what he wants to hear to get his money (like every paid employee of his campaign). Trump thinks rules apply to everyone else but him and winning the presidency has only reinforced that idea that he is special and above everyone else. People in this country messed up big time electing him. I'm always amazed at the stupidity. It is interesting how the information super highway only served to enhance the stupidity of the typical American. Americans are a disappointing group of people. Neither Trump nor his voters are great people. There is no way a collection of racists, sexists, and homophobes could ever get together and make anything great except maybe they could produce a great failure.

I'd be tempted to go on strike or get up and quit. This jackass is an insult to the very idea of public service and I don't know if I could stand it. In the early 80s I turned down an internship in DC largely because I was not willing to work for the Reagan administration assholes. As bad as they were, the Orange Hemorrhoid is even worse.

For example, for the TV shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, Fran Rubel Kuzui and her husband, Kaz Kuzui, were credited as executive producers because heir credit, rights, and royalties over the franchises related to their funding, producing, and directing of the original movie version of Buffy.

Same thing for NCIS, Donald Bellisario is still credited as an executive producer even though he has no involvement in the show any longer.

So because Trump was an executive producer on The Apprentice and probably Celebrity Apprentice, he is entitled to the executive producer credit even if he does no work on the series.

This is the press trying to get everyone worked up over something that happens in Hollywood.

what you're saying is that he plans on still being credited as Executive VP but not actually doing any of the actual work of Executive VP?

and that NBC is REQUIRED to credit him as an executive producer based on his previous contributions to the previous shows. The examples I gave show that this happens in Hollywood.

This is a non story
