A set of comments from a story about Paula Broadwell being shocked that Petraeus is in the running for Secretary of State.

Really? Why is giving a pardon being viewed as sticking it to someone? Is that something to brag about?
"My Secretary of State received a pardon, so yeah, take that!"
This is just one example of not just the mood and defense of Petraeus but the turn we've taken that has become a lot less subtle since the election.
Is there something in the water? Is there a new fad where people eat lead paint chips? Are we not just turning into Idiocracy, but a parody of Idiocracy? Are aliens replacing people with convincing clones who are really, really stupid?
(And yes, I kept the pizzagate bit in there as well on purpose)
