I think Trump is holding these rallies to reassure himself that some people still like him.

Especially considering all the mockery, loathing and hatred that is spewing forth across America
and the world.

Personally, I don't think I could handle all the hatred, disgust and loathing that he certainly must
encounter on a daily basis. And he deserves it all, and then some.

They did that for his earliest rallies, didn't they? Anyway, I read that here at DU.

The people who like him or vote for him are classless and stupid. I don't know anyone with a brain that isn't scared shitless.

"they love me" sure I hope that thought blows back into his face, funny maybe will he come for their guns, you wonder with all these Generals he is putting in place. I hope the freaking congress has a clue to what this monster is doing. Oh I read they are "concerned" about the appointments they better act on that concern.

Never give up and never give in.

Do you really think he cares about mockery and loathing? Look at soon-to-be-ex-governor McCrory of NC. He called a woman protesting for womens' rights into a busy street outside of the Executive Mansion, handed her a plate of cookies, then left her there. Asshole Trump will reward asshole McCrory with a position in his administration. They pride themselves on being assholes and truly don't give a shit about what people think.

He's also trying to convince himself that he actually won and that a 2.7 million majority of his fellow citizens really don't count, they're not white male property owners, yanno. The fact that most of his supporters aren't, either, doesn't occur to him.

attract attention.

Negative attention is fine because there are also those that embrace Trump in approval for voicing and making acceptable in public to express their fear and selfishness. Scapegoats make Trump and his followers have the warm fuzzies.

twit, the only shit he knows how to run is to his golden thrown. He better get a food tester/taster. Didn't Hitler have one of those too? Somebody said he was like having an arsonist in charge of fires.

It's more Kellyanne than Trump. She's announced that she wants to use "crowds" on a regular basis to push Trump's policies. That means not just enthusiasm but the threat of violence if there's any opposition. That also says Brownshirts to me.
