(28,808 posts)he's very level headed. i don't agree with all of his positions, but on balance he's very liberal and it works for me. he's part of my commitment to alternative media.

as for this particular story, much as i would love to see Hillary become president the way she should have, i don't believe it's going anywhere. for starters the elector from TX already said he was throwing his vote away, probably for Kasich. I don't see the outcome changing from this movement and feel a lot of trepidation over the reaction if Hillary was to take the electoral college.
it would be a good thing but it would be ugly too. i think most trumpsters have guns.

(36,745 posts)Think about it. He was Romney's running mate in 2012. If it goes to the House, Ryan would dump Drumpf for his old buddy Mitt.
that is a interesting comment.

(36,745 posts)Ryan would definitely strong arm the Rethug Reps to get onboard with Mittens.
Has the House ever chose someone for President who wasn't the top EV getter?
Yes, John Quincy Adams in 1825.

(94,667 posts)Trump will still get a majority of EVs. In the incredibly unlikely result that he doesn't, the House will award it to him.

(2,013 posts)Electors? Presumably it would be public knowledge and not a private vote. That alone would sway them from revolting, I would imagine.

(15,253 posts)Any less than that, even if Trump goes below 270 at the same time, the House would never pick Sanders over Trump.
