Check out the weather in the Duluth area! We are all being flooded out. Entire area is closing down.

My granddaughter took 4 hours to make what is usually a 1 and half hour trip home from work. And she had to drive through flood water to get there - last one through before they closed the last road down. We have had a lot of rain - especially the last couple of days. Not just rain but down pours. Supposed to keep up until tomorrow. On the bright side - we do not have to worry about forest fires.

deal of it will be runoff into the rivers going south and it will be causing floods all the way to Texas.

I check out the Weather Channel every morning before heading for work and they said that Duluth could be in for flooding. Down here in the Twin Cities it has been ominous-looking and humid but apart from some thundershowers none of the predicted nastiness has come to pass. At least as yet.

drive home. Fully admit that I was not thinking but it was not raining when I left. Am setting tight as of now. My grandson showed me pics of places in Duluth that are terrible. I feel sorry for the houses at the bottom of the hillsides that often have basements flooding - this will be much worse this time. Sump pumps are not working fast enough.

declaration. I'm interested to see how the city recovers from this; it's time to pay the piper on that antiquated sewer system and roads.
