Just think for a second if these men yelled YOUR name while committing this despicable act. Would tweeting about SNL still be your priority?

(100,076 posts)Donald Trump unleashed a whole new wave of terrorism and white supremacy. Until he denounces the terror being committed in his name, I will never refer to him as the president.

(81,267 posts)Anybody who lost the popular vote by MORE THAN 2.5 MILLION votes - can't possibly be my president.
Nope. Period.

(3,424 posts)They all knew what he is and what he has unleashed and they selfishly didn't care. GO TO HELL TRUMP VOTERS.
Even if he denounces all the hate filled crimes and horrors being perpetrated on the people he himself named to be hated, how could anyone believe he means it. This will only get worse and worse.

(100,076 posts)Most of Trump's brown shirts knew damn well what they were doing. They chose hate and terrorism over progress. Trump is a terrorist. Acts of hate and terror are being committed in his name on an almost daily basis. And when we are supposed to be in a war on terror, what the fuck are the terrorists doing in charge? The people who elected Trump really are no better than Al Qaeda or the Taliban.

(6,251 posts)He's always on the side of good and right. I can't seem to find a good quote of his, but I did find one from his mentor/girlfriend, Peggy Carter, quoted by her niece at Peggy's funeral.
Peggy Carter said, "Compromise where you can. Where you can't, don't. Even if everyone is telling you that something wrong is something right. Even if the whole world is telling you to move, it is your duty to plant yourself like a tree, look them in the eye, and say, 'No, *you* move'."

(16,859 posts)I'm afraid though that type of introspection and empathy are beyond the comprehension of Trump. His narcissistic tendencies drive him to slam perceived attacks on himself, and yet he still has not lifted a single finger to push back against the emboldened racists and bigots who are acting out in his name. Dark days are ahead...I hope we have the courage to stand together against the onslaught. It's funny, in an intersting not haha way. About eleven o'clock on election night, my wife and I were staring at the TV in disbelief in tears. Concerns for our family and our friends who would be affected by the election just poured out. I looked at my wife and said "The truly sad part is we will be the last to be targeted". We are both white professionals. If we wanted, we could stay under the radar and not risk anything. That's not how either of us were raised though. So we will stand with our Muslim, LGBT, black, Hispanic, Native American friends and we will do our part...that's all any of us can do.
Cha
(297,240 posts)for the rest of us.. it keeps our attention on how heinous he is and that we must never stop fighting to bring him down where he belongs.
Yes, may we all of us have the strength and courage to stand together against our country being pillaged and plundered by those for whom corporations are people and People are sub-human. Fetus' are the only thing they'll stand with because they know it's a wedge issue for some bible-thumping hypocrites who wouldn't know "pro life" if it stared them in their collective face.
Thank you and your wife for being there for those who less fortunate and will be needing a friend or two.
So grateful to those like Chris Evans who don't have to make their opinions known but do for the sake of humanity. If we thought it was bad in the bush2cheney's error.. our Country has seen nothing yet.
My friend just linked this soothing music.. he said it's what he thought of on Election night. I can see why.. it felt healing to me..
