So the Carrier deal was really no different that what you've seen from sports owners for decades.

Which is we need a new stadium so give us money, or we leave town.

And Pence had the pocket book here so he gave the money.

I'm not going to say it's not good for the 850 or so people who will keep their jobs, but let's not act as if was anything novel or different from any other greased wheel government/corporation dealings.
