Notes from the Underground #7: Philosophy has its limits

Maybe you can make your own ideas clearer through philosophy

But you'll only rarely convince somebody else that their thinking is muddled and inconsistent

Anyway, the object is not to get others to express themselves the way you express yourself

The object is to learn how to become an effective agent of change

We should test our ideas against the world, not just against other ideas

That means: trying something, seeing if it works, and then trying some variant
