...many of these asswipes voted for the Con-in-Chief and now they are infuriated that he will do what everyone knows the Cons have been chomping at the bit to do for decades.

It sucks to be stupid...

2. I just got my renewal notice (with an offer of a free tote bag!)

and I am debating whether to renew. I read their bullet points, and the last one about Social Security concerns me a bit: "Ensure fairness. Changes to the program should be implemented gradually and should protect current beneficiaries and near retirees." Does this mean they are OK with "changes to the program" as long as they don't affect their membership? While of course any changes to a major program have to be implemented gradually for a lot of reasons, including basic logistics, I am concerned that even mentioning the possibility of "changing" the program implies some willingness to negotiate reductions, since the GOP never changes things for the better if they benefit the masses. Or am I just being paranoid? Of course I don't want to see my benefits get cut, but I don't want the program to be cut back for future retirees either.

5. Rightly or wrongly, I have never trusted AARP.

I used to be a member, then saw their hookup with United Health Care.

I tried to un-join, which I did, but 5 years later, after many phone calls, emails, messages, and returning their mailings, I still get their shit in the mail.

It had to cost at least .08 american. I'll be able to carry my body parts close instead of putting them in the shopping cart with my catfood tins.

Yes, this is the opportunity the pukes have been looking for for decades and it was so easy for them.

We are fucked if you expected better in our lives.

8. AARP hasn't always been on the side of seniors in re: SS and Medicare

I'd rather send support to Social Security Works (http://www.socialsecurityworks.org/) , the Alliance for Retired Americans (https://retiredamericans.org/) and NCPSSM (http://www.ncpssm.org)
