I still remember a conversation I had with a friend in CA on the afternoon of 9/11. I commented that I needed to go and run some errands. My friend was shocked. "you aren't actually going out, are you?" "yes, of course I am. whoever did this wants us to live in fear. and if we do that, whoever THEY are, they have won. I refuse to live in fear, cowering in my little cave" anger, yes. rage, yes. sorrow for all the lives lost and destroyed, HELL YES. but never fear, never give in to being paralyzed and unable to act.
since 11/9, I have been going through a similar emotional storm. Anger, rage, sorrow. But never fear. will not give those lying, thieving, hate-mongering bastards the satisfaction. Note to the boys: it is really not wise to piss off a bull, or just a cranky old woman who has seen so much and is not afraid. your threats and taunts and tantrums do not impress me in the least.
go play in traffic.
