No hand-counting of ballots in Wisconsin

An elections judge has ruled that the Wisconsin recount will not be by hand; they will merely feed the ballots through the scanners again.

How harmful is this decision? It would seem that if they follow the same procedure, they will likely get the same result.

Had to edit, it was the Fox link, not the one in the OP where you can find Walker tweets.

We made it easy to vote, hard to cheat in WI elections. Supporters
of #Recount2016 were against our Voter ID initiatives.

WI’s electoral process is fair & protected. Are #Recount2016
supporters really that surprised how rural Wisconsin voted?

@GovWalker
Hard to justify #Recount2016 to the taxpayers when the winner
won by over 22K votes – x4 the margin of the closest WI pres.
election.

They said since the machines are not connected to the internet, a series of break-ins or an inside job would be the only way to tamper with them.

DUH, YES, THAT IS THE CONCERN!

See info about 2004 Ohio - specifically private co. Triad who serviced & maintained machines for some co's made unauthorized early morning service calls and reportedly advised counties how they could get the computer totals to match the ballot counts in the trial run so as to not trigger total recount of all ballots. (sorry Im late for appt no time to google myself).

"Inside job" truly is within the realm of possibility. I mean I hope to god my state wouldn't do something so heinous, but if it happened - I WANT TO KNOW>

From the link in this thread: if even 1 hand recount is wacky, then they need to press to do all?

As it stands, county clerks are allowed to conduct recount by hand or by machine. That would change only if a judge orders clerks to count all ballots by hand.

Scott McDonell, Dane County clerk said he's not waiting around. He's counting by hand.

"The accusation being made is that the machines were hacked. The benefit of a hand count is that you show that`s false. We`ll be working 12 hour days through the weekends until we`re done, whenever that is," McDonell said.

9. 4 counties have already admitted to padding the Trump vote to a total of 5000 votes

Hence Trump's win in WI has already shrunk from 27K to 22K, before the recount even begins.

I think its highly likely that there are going to be other padded counties.
