Argentine President Mauricio Macri says he spoke with President-elect Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka during his recent phone call to America's new leader.

I do apologize for the image, but I know he sits on the toilet while tweeting in the early AM.

He seems unable to function unless Ivanka is near. She's his security blanket and he's hoping she sounds impressive because he knows he doesn't.

And, as long as the discussion didn't cover classified material, she wouldn't need a clearance.

Maybe all the talk was about zoning approvals, and maybe a new golf course on the Falklands, er, Malvinas Islands.

6. THIS IS GOOD! Ivanka is reasonably sane and balanced

by all accounts so far. Chelsea Clinton is famously so and she could not have been friends with Ivanka otherwise. Jared Kushner likewise.

Hopefully, attacks on Ivanka will be seen by Trump as attacks on him and just help cement his daugher's position. The last thing we want is Ivanka's power usurped by someone like Bannon, or more likely in the long term a Koch and/or Mercer agent, unifying the White House and Congress under agents in power in both branches.

I did not know that. I supposed they are in the same young, wealthy social circle in NYC.

10. Journalists for The New Yorker, NY Magazine, Vanity Fair

have good connections in NY circles and have written a lot of articles about the Kushners, some of which I've only just started reading since they've become of interest. But this is from the WaPo:

“We were friends long before this election,” said Clinton during a sit-down with the ladies of “The View.” “We will be friends long after this election. Our friendship didn’t start in politics, and it certainly is not going to end because of politics.”

Clinton added that she loved Trump’s family, a point that co-host Joy Behar asked her to clarify. By family, Clinton meant Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner, and her three children. Both broods (Clinton and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, have two children) live in Manhattan and run in the same small circles.
