The effects of the DRUMPF's 0.2% victory that have filtered down to my personal level so far

Last edited Sun Nov 20, 2016, 07:20 PM - Edit history (1)

* ITEM: From before the election, my elderly sister was being "teased" (harassed) by a neighbor supporting DRUMPF, a Documented immigrant from Colombia, trash talk about cancelling out each other's vote and a playful demand for a celebratory margarita when DRUMPF won. Then, afterwards, a "pity" call asking how she is holding up.

* ITEM: *My* neighbor, a dude in his early 60s who throughout the 20 yrs of our being neighbors always said he didn't care about the news or politics, suddenly found DRUMPF to be his type of dude he could relate to. In the humongously long campaign when DRUMPF was considered a ridiculously long shot, he started injecting mollifying comments into our infrequent DRUMPF discussions to the effect that "Aww, he's not that bad" and "He's not going to wreck the country!1" He was gone for a week starting before the election and when he resurfaced afterwards he was literally BOUNCING jauntily and announced that this time he *DID* vote and that he was deliriously happy with the outcome. This evening when I drove in he was outside but by the time I got out of the car he had whisked himself away!1 I wasn't planning to turn it into a vendetta, as he apparently thinks, although I *will* be clear that it ain't funny or cute.

* ITEM: During the hack, I started getting malware or whatever - adware attacks. Since I'm LowTech I paranoidly wondered whether this was connected. Our DU Computer Help group helped out with Cleaners (but didn't work), and while I was deleting individual cookies, found one from fbi.com - huhhh?!1 Or are the attacks a Microsoft plot?!1 --- I just got a popup from Microsoft saying that Edge is much more efficient at blocking malware than Firefox!1

* ITEM: Today in the grocery checkout, one of the National Enquirers was turned upside down. When I looked, it had DRUMPF's large picture on the cover. After first thinking it was somebody's sloppy replacing on the rack, it occurred to me it might be somebody's PROTEST, and with nobody looking except the security cameras I proceeded to turn every Time and Enquirer with DRUMPF's picture to the upside down position. This is what I'm reduced to!1

Laughing at them works, but is probably also what infuriated them to vote for him in the first place UTUSN Nov 2016 #2

I was in the sauna at the gym and this clown out of the blue volunteered that he voted for Trump not because he's racist but because of the corruption. I reminded him that Trump said Hillary was a good public servant and the Clintons were good people when it was no longer in his interest to trash them. We don't talk any more. God forgive me but if ever disses the Clintons in my presence again I am going to tell him to fuck himself and hope he's crazy enough to swing at me. God forgive me...

the Giant grocery store. Lame, but I can't stand to see that misogynist, racist , lying, cheating bully's face.

By the time he's implemented all his policies, we'll be forced to watch and listen to him...

One problem I picked up from DI's froggie post-ers, I was able to get solved by "manage add-ons", then disable Adobe Systems Incorporated's "shockwave flash object". Vids can't be viewed when it's disabled, but it can be turned on to view a vid, then disabled again when you're done viewing it. (A new version of it automatically downloaded 11/9/2016, btw.)

Re the bad cookies you were deleting, I found some odd ones when I was having those computer problems. When I looked up the privacy report info on them, looking at the site privacy summary associated with those cookies, instead of showing a recognizable title (like Yahoo!inc or Google) or saying "could not find a privacy policy for ___", there would be long strings of gibberish, cap and small letters, lots of backslashes. Like they were using that privacy report / cookie blocker feature itself to send bad code to my computer.

I turned some of the enquirer nazi garbage propaganda tabloids around upside down and backwards, while in the check out line, too.
