UK's Corbyn: Trump a 'rich white man' faking anti-elitism
The leader of United Kingdom's Labour Party says President-elect Donald Trump is a phony.
“The fake anti-elitism of rich white men like Nigel Farage and Donald Trump. It’s farcical at one level, but in reality it’s no joke,” Jeremy Corbyn said during a speech on Saturday, according to the Telegraph.
“We can see the choice taken by politicians on the hard Right — to whip up division against migrants, Muslims, Mexicans, women, LGBT people, people with disabilities,” he added.
Farage, the former leader of the U.K. Independence Party and a key figure in favor of the nation's decision to leave the European Union, was a vocal Trump supporter during the campaign, and was seen celebrating with the president-elect in Trump Tower after his victory last week.
During his address, Corbyn attacked Trump for being a "climate change denier" and not being committed to fight globalization.
