Jeff Sessions nominated for AJ for one reason - He's a bigot

That is his one outstanding characteristic. He's a racist, sexist, bigot and that made him uniquely qualified in the eyes of Donald Trump.

It is also a test to see how far Senate Republicans will go to confirm Trumps nominations. If Sessions gets confirmed, there is no limit to how repulsive his Supreme Court nomination will be.

That also goes for affirmative action for colleges and universities, unless you're a black athelete.

my head around what just happened, and the shadow of this republiklan coup..I am not a conspiracy theorist...not even close..just the facts...

When I look at the popular vote - the Democratic voters are the majority..and then some of the states voter figures in WI MI PA NC..I just can't stop thinking this was baked in..so many removed from voter rolls via Crosscheck...state voter ID laws - disenfranchising at the polls..mix in racism, hatred, ignorance and you have the perfect storm...as Rev. Barber explains, history tells us -

It is hope I cling to..the glass half-full optimism I have always maintained..seems to be evaporating..inspiration seems to be in short supply - but then, I think about the people here at DU..am so grateful -
