Without previous context, declaring black people to be fond of fried chicken is harmless.

But, not to worry. The Trump crowd has spit out the dog whistle, and their bigotry will be easy to detect.

My "favorite" was his twofer where he managed to insult blacks and Jews simultaneously by saying he would rather have little guys in yarmulkes counting his money than blacks because they were inherently better at it.

Then they haul out every Jewish stereotype with admiration, slap them on Trump and are happy!!!

Let me prove to you that Donald is our first Jewish president…

Donald is a lifelong New York businessman, who made his fortune in real estate. You can’t get more Jewish than that.

Donald’s daughter Ivanka has converted to orthodox Judaism. That makes Donald the first president in the history of America with orthodox Jewish grandkids.

Donald is handing his business over to his children. That is the goal of every Jewish businessman in history.

Donald is the most hardworking businessman I’ve ever met. That is a trait handed down to me by my Yiddish grandfather. I believe it is the main reason for the success of the Jewish people.

All it was missing was calling us "kikes". He made one anti-Semitic remark after another. I would be interested to see (haven't seen numbers yet), as to the Republican Jews who stood bye him. There are always a few willing to sell their souls, just like any group.

I'm not saying he wants to incinerate Jews but he is familiar with every anti-semitic trope. My American Jewish friends to a one loathe him. Surprisingly I know Israeli ex pats who dig him. Maybe it's his contempt for Muslims or his strong man pose.

It's pretty much direct from Henry Ford and the KKK from the 1920's and 1930's. It comes from the Protocols of Zion which Ford popularized in in his anti-Semitic rag called "The International Jew" which he used to bring fascism and anti-Semitism into the "Modern Age" in the US. This was the basis for the love and economic model that Hitler and the Nazi's used in Germany.

Trump would have gotten the usage from his father who was a follower of the Klan and and would know it to be linked to Jews.

On Edit: One of the twists which I think relevant to the tie between Trump and Ford is over immigration. Ford despised immigrants - which he focused primarily on Jews, but also because immigrants brought in "new ideas". So, it's not only immigration of people, it's also immigration of ideas. I would watch for this in the education choices and policies and his reaction to technology.

And I think it likely that Jared was the person who told Trump to edit the message. Am sure it was Jared who took away Trump's twitter account for the last two weeks of the campaign and who monitors and shapes his Social media. Jared is very "socially aware" and as good, or better, a salesman as Trump.

I personally am curious to the dynamics between Jared and Bannon. They seem an odd pairing, but strangely compatible. However, I think their personalities and nature to control things will cause tension with the winner kicking the loser out of the nest.

You and I are all too familiar with anti-Semitism, unfortunately, as seen here, there are more than a few who are not. It explains why Jews often have a hell of a time pointing out anti-Semitism and why so many like to claim it doesn't exist to the extent it does. One cannot see, what one does not understand.

"Pound of flesh", "Two masters", "Blood libel", "Shylock", "30 pieces of silver", "backstabbers", "International banking", "International media source", "Cabal", "Octopus", "Spider webs/spiders", "Rats", "vermin", the list goes on and on, but many have ties to anti-Semitic tropes and conspiracy theories, though it sometimes does depend on the circumstance and whom the target is. The only "upside" to this calamity, is perhaps, many of us Jews won't have so many people 'splaining to us whether something is/isn't anti-Semitic, assuming they get the definition correct.
