Not trying to rally the base. Definitely not trying to cheer anyone up. And I would be crazy not to be terrified at the thought of Donald Trump with his finger anywhere near a red button. I'm just saying what we are all thinking----
This election was stolen exactly the way that 2000 and 2004 were stolen. Disenfranchise some minorities. Throw away some perfectly good ballots. And deliver vote totals that look nothing like the exit polls in a few key voting areas.

Which begs the question---if it is so easy for the GOP to steal an election and if their toadies in the press can be counted upon to look the other way, why the hell didn't they help themselves to some votes they did not earn in 2008 and 2012? "They don't like John McCain," you may be saying. And you might be right. But what did Mitt Romney ever do to alienate your average Republican business voter? What does 2016 have in common with 2000 and 2004?
Answer: an Oil candidate from hell.
No, not Trump. Pence. The Koch Brothers own Pence. Oil stole 2000 and it stole 2004. Now Oil has stolen another election and all that stands in Oil's way is a megalomaniac that mainstream Republicans don't like---
Oh wait! Oil stole another election. 1980, when Bush made a deal with Iran, Votes for Hostages. And after the election, the son of an oil family in Texas tried to kill the man who stood in the way of Oil's candidate. Which led to a revival of the old film, "The Manchurian Candidate." And the wrath of Nancy. So Oil had to bide its time and wait a few more years for Poppy to get into office and pick a war with Iraq. The same way that W. picked a war with Iraq. Easy way to boost oil prices.
Did someone in Oil promise Trump that if he selected Pence to be his VP, Oil would steal this election for him the way they stole it for W. but not for McCain and Romney? What did Oil demand in return? War with Iran? Gas prices between $4 and $5 a gallon? What if Trump decides that he does not want to ruin the economy and get us involved in another Middle East War that we can not win? High oil prices do not increase the value of his real estate and high oil prices make it harder for people to visit his golf resorts. High oil prices only help one sector of the economy---Oil.
No problem. Trump has so many skeletons in his closet, Republicans will be able to pick and choose which ones they want to unearth when it comes time to impeach. Assuming that he does not make some colossal legal blunder---like accepting bribes from foreign nationals in exchange for favors as president--something he has already done. He knows nothing about the law or about being president. He is woefully unprepared. It will be easy as pie to trip him up---
In which case, all that stands between Oil and President Pence is the Democratic minority in Congress which could interfere with Republican efforts to impeach Trump the way it interfered with their efforts to impeach Clinton. But Democrats are terrified at the thought of Trump with his finger on the red button. They would never stand in the way of impeachment, not with their own base clamoring for Trump's head.
President Trump vs. President Pence. A rock and a hard place.
