I Would Like To Take The Time To Thank ALL DU Admins For Working Around The Clock To Save DU

Last edited Sun Nov 20, 2016, 10:32 PM - Edit history (1)

While I'm Confident I Am Not Alone But I Joined DU In 2003 At The Age Of 14...

To Me DU Was More Than Just A Website, It Became A Community Of Like Minded Individuals Who Welcomed Me With Open Arms!

Personally I Want To Thank ALL OF YOU...You Have Taught Me What No Text Book Could EVER Teach Me!

This The DU Community, This The DU Family Have Humbled Me To My Core.

Over The Past 8 Days A Part Of Me Has Been Missing...I Lost My Proverbial Outlet, If You Will...

So In Conclusion I Want To Thank The DU Moderaters... More Importantly I Wanna Thank All Of You, The DU Community...Joining DU At The Age Of 14, Was A Huge Step For Me...Yet This Wonderful Community Welcomed Me Open Arms!

I Have Learned Sooo Much From All Of YOU
...Simply Put, THANK-YOU SO VERY MUCH!

I just spent two weeks long weeks without DU, it is comforting to know we have a place where we can discuss our views with like minded people.

haven for me. Living in Wisconsin has become a political and moral challenge due to the ugliness, resentment and hate of our republican run legislature. I too thank the DU management for their dedication to the cause.

I joined the JPR site as soon as it was formed. And it formed for the reason that still keeps me from feeling comfy here. It's one thing to establish a site for like-minded sorts. It's another thing to dictate which idol to pray to. But that was prior to November 8th. I tried to divorce myself from DU a few months back, but couldn't. Even pushing someone I was SURE wasn't the best choice, I still found some comfort here with minds that yearned for a world vision like mine. And so, now as we drift into the morass of a Crump administration, I need a place where the balm of compassion and common sense is available by the bucket. At age 71, I have doubts I'll live to see compassion reign, but your youthful enthusiasm affords me a bit of hope that there can be a positive outcome in the decades ahead.
So here's to YOU and DU's trio of admins that keep this place up and running. A haven for those who can see beyond their own selfish selves. A place to spawn and nurture the likes of you and the betterment of mankind.
