China can hit back quickly on trade

These idiots don't know what the fuck they're doing.

China’s stance on U.S. trade can be illustrated by one of Sir Isaac Newton’s laws of motion: For every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction.

From aircraft to steel to solar, Beijing has responded in kind to what it deemed as trade slights from Washington. It also has sought World Trade Organization protections, and with some success.

That’s something for President-elect Donald Trump to weigh as he decides whether to honor his proposal for tariffs on the world’s largest trading nation, which had $627 billion in U.S. trade in 2015.

A Communist Party newspaper this week gave a flavor of what could come, suggesting “tit for tat” retaliation should a trade tiff erupt. “Boeing orders will be replaced by Airbus,” the Global Times said in an editorial. “U.S. auto and iPhone sales in China will suffer a setback, and U.S. soybean and maize imports will be halted.”

He talked about tariffs and he was right.

The US is getting punked by these third world countries, our free trade policies are destroying the middle class.

Keep in mind, Americans are the largest consumer group in the world, without our purchases the Chinese, Korean, taiwanese Indian etc. economies would collapse.

Eta - these ridiculous threats just show how freaked out they are, without American soy and corn imports their people will literally starve. Most people don't know this but the US grows more soy than any other country in the world.

They threaten MS and Qualcomm (who own CDMA technology which is in EVERY phone in the world) because they hate patents. But again, without CDMA tech they will have no cell phones that work until they go back to older tech.

They import most of their food stocks and are the last country that should be talking shit about their trading partners.

eta:

Estimates for 2017, soy imports to China will be 107 million metric tons, 55.8 coming from the US.

"The U.S. trade deficit with China was $365.7 billion in 2015 This is a new record, up slightly from last year's record of $343 billion.

The trade deficit exists because U.S. exports to China were only $116.2 billion while imports from China hit a new record of $481.9 billion.Oct 24, 2016"

Bullshit labels and all.

We can't use Chinese aircraft cable 'cause it breaks way too easy.
Careful buying a "Gibsun" or "CF Martin" guitar.

Gypsum board anyone? Lead painted toys anyone?

Screw em.
