A *telling* vignette of DRUMPF & our dire situation from Billy CRYSTAL, because Comedians.
Frankly, after all these years of drowning in supposed journalists and cable yakkers, it has been the comedians who have been the most nearly truthful and brave.
So CRYSTAL showed a souvenir picture to KIMMEL, a golf outing of him, DRUMPF, BLOOMBERG, Bill CLINTON, and three or so others - an exercise in elites and exclusivity. ON EDIT: He set it up by saying, "This picture dates back to when (DRUMPF) was a Democrat and believed in (Choice)."
As he was pointing them out, when he came to DRUMPF, he made a big show of choking/gagging while attempting to get the words out, "President-Elect," and grabbed his throat with his hands. He was miming something like "God help us" and milked this and the wincing and gagging.
O.K., he is not "just" a comedian. He is a savvy somebody who *knows* these people. He was conveying the ABSURDITY, to the point of existential angst, of DRUMPF being in the position.
Afterwards, he did the disclaimer thing and semi-walked it back - SOMEWHAT - saying (paraphrase), "Look, we're all in this together and we have to try to make the best of it, (something like we're in a really big muddle)."
This, combined with something from another thread, about David FRUM's saying to Lawrence O'DONNELL that the next step needs to be impeachment or removal via the Disability (mental) clause, says it all, as though the gazillion things DRUMPF has done and said all his life are not enough to have ruled him OUT from even the imagining that he would run.
