(26,650 posts)meeting my niece and her daughter. They booked a hotel in VA. Nothing under $1000/night in DC. Will we protest the inauguration? Why not, we'll be there.
Our voices WILL be heard. I will never accept a fascist for my president! See you in DC, barbtries!

(11,924 posts)I am a bit concerned about violence, but I've told my hubby and 16yo son that we can do the march, maybe visit a museum, play Pokemon, etc. to make it more appetizing for them to go. My daughter and several of our friends are going as well. I figured from 2016 election night forward we're going to have to get out of our comfort zone to be heard or just even not to be pushed into the swamp and our voices drowned. At last count, one group in DE has 6 buses. I know there are other buses going from our state as well.

(28,394 posts)I am traveling by bus from the Pittsburgh area. The women from all corners of SW PA have been amazing in organizing charter buses.
I wish we DUers could meet up somehow. Probably too hard to do with so many people there though.
