Gingrich says he wont hold Cabinet post under Trump

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich said Thursday he will not serve in Donald Trump’s Cabinet.

“I want to be free to network across the whole system and look at what we have to do to succeed,” Gingrich said when briefly reached by phone. Holding a Cabinet post would have been “not physically doable,” he said.

The remarks from the former GOP presidential candidate, 73, came after he told McClatchy he intends to focus on “strategic planning” during the Trump administration rather than run a federal department. The former House speaker said he does not plan to hold any official role under Trump.

Gingrich’s name had been mentioned for health and human services secretary and secretary of state. An active surrogate for Trump during the campaign, the former Georgia Republican lawmaker was long expected to take a role in the administration.

It was beautiful when he was running in the primary and a Repuke voter got in his face and told him he should be ashamed of himself and should get out.

Otoh, contrary to Joe Scabs and Mika Mouse, who say DRUMPF is the ONE "Disruptor" and doesn't need a whole crew of other whackjob disruptors around him, I prefer that he fill up his whole regime with all these whackos and have them disintegrate themselves.
