Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWho do you want to head up the Democratic National Committee?
Moving forward, we've got to make some decisions on leadership of the party.
Here are some proposed candidates. There has already been some discussion, so most names should be familiar here.
Please note, I'm being careful not to put my preferred choice on top.

(18,470 posts)And I'd be a fucking hard pipe hitting liberal who doesn't back down and goes all Emperor Palpatine on any Republicans foolish enough to oppose me.
So in other words, we can bet that you don't support Howard Dean.

(2,959 posts)I think Howard Dean should be awarded a more or less permanent perch in the party's managing organization. His "50 State" plan certainly was successful and any more targeted plan is missing a lot of the electorate.
At the very least I hope the DNC takes Howard Dean's advice and goes with someone who can devote all of their attention to the midterm elections. I think we saw the problems a having a sitting legislator run the show can encounter. I don't mean that as a criticism of any former DNC Chair.

(13,778 posts)Don't get me wrong, I love Keith Ellison. But I want a full-time head of the DNC. Howard has proven by getting Dem House, Senate, and President in 2008.
I want Keith Ellison to have a prominent role. But he has a full-time job now and he can't do both and do them well. Since we need him where he is, let him serve in an advisory capacity.

(28,394 posts)I want to see a full-time chair. I like Ellison, but he would be another part-timer. I like Perez too.
