I know it's not normally done, but this is a borderline national emergency. I think it might sway some voters on the fence if Obama gets on tv and says "if you ever listened to me, listen to me now- Trump must be stopped."

that we can call on in a situation like this. Some respected figure, anything to wake people the fuck up.
