How does this email "thingy" work?

Six hundred and fifty thousand emails seem like a lot of emails to me?

Was she on everyone's "CC" list? Did she receive copies of everyone's emails with whom she worked?

How else to explain this huge number of emails?

How many of her friends received emails from Hillary and then CC'ed to Huma Amedin or vice-versa.

Emails can explode exponentially with the technology now available. One email may end up on the computer of a thousand different people. It is not always just between two people, such as Huma Amedin and Hillary Clinton.

I'm not sure people understand the basic nature of emails.

active for several years especially if spam is included in that.

As such vast majority of them likely have nothing to do at all with Hillary.

5. If that laptop got added to a contact list

which was subsequently promulgated to other computers, it might have been cc'ed to the tune of 650k emails. But you'd think whoever was using the laptop would have noticed.

6. 650k seems high, and I'm skeptical of that number but it's not impossible.

Someone might not notice that many emails if they only used that computer
occasionally and the program was downloading and storing those emails automatically
and most of the emails were from several mailing lists the person was on.
