(34,137 posts)The juror they questioned had worked for the BLM for a short time 20 years ago. He'd made it through voir dire and the trial but when they started deliberations, the other jurors questioned whether he should be on the jury at all. The judge let it happen - I think in an effort to be fair.
I would love to hear that juror's side of things.

(728 posts)I saw videos of them using backhoes digging trenches. They were riding around in public vehicles. I saw videos of them taking down cameras, and generally smelling up the place.
What about trespassing? Aren't they at least charged with that?

Tribes in Nevada are now pushing for permanent protection of lands they consider sacred around militia leader Cliven Bundy's ranch, the man who inspired the Oregon occupation and father of Ammon and Ryan. A coalition of tribes in Utah is pushing for a national monument on cultural lands there. And the most high-profile show of tribal unity since the Oregon occupation has been the protests over the Dakota Access Pipeline led by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

(891 posts)And when the media puts a mic in front of Trump (and any rePuke) and he repeats hid KKK dog whistle, the country will be repulsed.
Just hoping we get through election day without a Timmy McVey event at the polls.
This is the OJ verdict redux, but this verdict comes with an immediate moral imperative for all. Let the Second Great Uprising At the North Begin.

(80,708 posts)"Oregon" is very blue, because most of the people are concentrated in the Portland area and that's very progressive. But there are some pretty Red areas in Oregon.

(397 posts)They overcharged. Should have stuck to charges that would stick and be easy to prove. Tried to send them to prison for life when they could have sent them away for 5 to 10 years.

(14,856 posts)... the jury failed to pronounce guilt on all charges simply because SOME of them might have been extreme?
I don't think most juries would react that way.

A nice warm office is waiting for you at your nearest federal office.
You can even use a gun to keep them from throwing you out.
Perfectly legal now.
