I rather see MSM frame this election as "close"...nothing will motivate our voters more to vote for Hillary.....way better than framing this as an absolute landslide of which it may be

It's when the east coast media call a nationwide race three hours before the polls close on the west coast. Otherwise, I haven't noticed a lack of motivation among Democratic voters.

I think they learned their lesson about calling the presidential race early.

But all this talk of de-motivated voters makes me think I have the wrong friends and acquaintances. I have never heard any of them take a sip from their brandy snifter and intone, "Oh, tut-tut old boy; Secretary Clinton's got this in the bag. No sense toddling down to the voting booth. My one little vote won't be missed." My friends and acquaintances are eager to be on the winning side, and I think that's not uncommon. Witness the sudden explosion in team wear after a championship: People with no previously discernible interest in football start wearing Broncos gear after the Super Bowl. I think the same thing holds true in the political realm.

10. A straight average of the five polls gives Hillary a 1.2% lead 44.4 to 43.2

A weighted average to account for the different sample sizes of each poll gives Hillary a 1.8% lead 45.2 to 43.4. Obama won FL in 2012 by less than 1%. It is truly dishonest to focus on the one poll that shows Trump ahead. That said, I don't think many of the reporters on TV have any clue about the statistical meaning behind polls and why multiple polls are more accurate than one alone.
