Dining dilemma

My republican brother is coming to town tomorrow, and they want us to meet up for dinner. There are several nice restaurants in proximity to their hotel, ranging from ethnic to seafood to steak; and they want me to make the reservations. So, which would you suggest: Tums? Rolaids? Mylanta?

I'm on a BBQ kick and try to test out new places wherever I go. Get them some soul food (aka Southern home cooking)

enforced by "Nobody wants to talk about that stuff while we're eating." Otherwise take a Prilosec today and tomorrow. That should prevent reflux from having any GOP shoved down your throat should you repair to a bar after dinner.

Seriously, I cannot imagine disavowing a family member over politics alone. I have family members of all persuasions, and I love them all. Embrace diversity of opinion!

Grab a bottle of xanax and every time they open their mouths throw one in there.

You are welcome.

You can hand them to him at the end of dinner, and say "you're gonna need these, I think, on Nov. 9"
